AODERN works premises for Express IV1Motor and Body Works, Ltd., were opened, last week, on the Great Cambridge Road, Enfield,, The works are at the Southbury Road crossing, and are divided into three main parts—the engineering shop, the bodybuilding and repair shop, and the paint
and varnishing shop. The groundfloor area is 110,000 sq. ft. and the space occupied ' by the building is 2,100,000 cubic ft.
The wood mill is equipped with the latest types of machine with sawdustextracting Plant, whilst in the bo4 building and repair shop the floor has been treated to prevent dust rising from the concrete; a similar system is employed in the paint shop, whilst in both cases the roofs are specially treated to prevent the ingress of dust. The engineering shop has the most up-todate equipment for all purposes, with suitable systems for dismantling and assembling.
After guests had been shown around the works, they assembled to hear a speech by Mr. James Paterson, chairman of the company, and several presentations were made.
