• Liverpool-based Mercedes-Benz dealer Road Range is planning to set up a purpose-built depot at or near Queensferry, not far from Chester. "We've got a small site at Holywell, which isn't far away, but we need bigger premises to cope with demand," says dealer principal God Stringer.
Last July the firm acquired a small branch in Llandudno by taking over an existing business. "We're expanding operations '[n Liverpool too." says Stringer. "We're putting in a round-the-clock tachograph bay which should be completed by the end of next February.
"New vehicle margins are still being squeezed, but used margins are better than they were 12 months ago and the aftersales side of things is holding up well," he concludes.
