Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BRITISH factories produced 368,899 commercial goods vehicles and 33,667 buses and coaches in 1974; the total of 402,566 compares with 416,623 for 1973. These figures are given in The Motor Industry of Great Britain 1975, just published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd, Forbes House, Halkin Street, London SW1X 7DS.

Of the 1974 cv total, 92,644 were car-derived vans; the largest single production group was in the next highest class— goods vehicles not exceeding 3.5 tons gvw, where 144,922 were produced.

British Leyland built 124,658 commercial vehicles in 1974 (72,195 of them produced by the Truck and Bus Division); Ford built 131,268; Vauxhall/ Bedford, 112,151; Chrysler (UK) 25,004; ERF, 2,328; and "Atkinson" 1,680—there being no Seddon or Seddon Atkinson total listed. Other producers are not given by name.
