Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ROADWAYS CONTAINER Logistics (RCL) has given several hauliers who use its Birmingham Intermodal Freight (BIF) terminal as an operating centre notice to quit the site.

Andrew Frost, national operations manager for RCL, says that the company regrets giving notice to the hauliers, but that new contracts with rail customers GB Rail Freight and Freightliner mean the space is needed for storage.

For some of those who have been using the site as an operating base, the notice to leave has come as a blow.

They include owner-driver Bob Warnock. who operates two trucks from BIF and pays £299 a month in rent to RCL.

He says: "I've been operating from here for four years when it first opened. When I arrived, I was the only one here, along with the security man, so it's a hit disappointing to be moved on like this."

Warnock, 65, says he was intending to retire in a couple of years but might stop work early as a result of being given notice to move out of the facility.
