Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

cheap diesel from hauliers through threats of violence are no longer limiting their operations to service stations (CM 1420 May); they are approaching drivers in their own yards.

Maurice Machado of Transhaul UK in Dunstable says travellers are plaguing his and other companies in the area offering drivers £5 to fill up a five-gallon drum with diesel or face attack. He adds that they are even stealing diesel from his yard.

Machado has complained to his local council about the travellers' behaviour, but says the council refuses to remove them as there are "unwell babies" among the group. He has now written to his local MP to complain and seek action.
