Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

EASY operation is one of the main advantages claimed for the Kelley Kwik-Plate dock leveller from Stokvis. It replaces the Model LTL.

A completely self-contained unit, the Kwik-Plate heavy duty rubber bumpers can be either bolted or welded to the dock face, thus making it, says Skokvis, ideal for leased premises and inexpensive to install as no civil work is required.

The Kwik-Plate needs just 16kg (35.31b) of effort to raise, swivel and position the counterbalanced ramp. A slide mechanism ensures that the top plate is always correctly aligned for jam-free operation.

The makers say the unit takes up no loading bay space and extends only 300m (11.8in) beyond the dock face. When the vehicle draws away, Kwik-Plate returns automatically to the parked position.

The 1830mmx760mm (72x30in) ramp is available with two different profiles. The high profile plate operates between 150mm (5.9in) above dock level to 100mm (3.9in) below and is said to be suitable for most applications, but trucks with a low ground clearance may need the low profile plate with a range of 100mm (3.9in) above dock level to 35mm (1.4in) below.

Maximum load capacity of both models is over 9 tonnes (8.85 tons). Overall width of the complete unit is 2290mm (90in) with a weight of 480kg (1058IW.
