A range of female fasteners called Flushnuts, having nuts centrally located on 38mm by 18g perforated mild-steel discs, has now been added to the various products available from Bighead Bonding Fasteners Ltd.
Flushnuts have been designed for use in the plastics industry, for the production of grp lorry cabs, car bodies, compressor housings and so on. It is said they can be readily arc-, spotor gas-welded to sheet steel to provide quick-to-fix, loadspreading anchorages. Stud welders are not required. Alternatively, Flushnuts can be riveted or screwed through any of the 18 holes in the disc.
