• By means of a wider-than-normal conveyor a new belt-discharge bulk body from N. Tarnplin and Co Ltd, Chichester, is said to be capable of discharging a 16-ton load of free-flow materials, as well as potatoes and other agricultural products, in less than 10 minutes.

Designed to fit on to a Guy eight-wheel platform truck, and giving a payload of 15 tong; the first unit has been supplied through 'Mayfair Garages Ltd, Tamworth, to R and D Transport of Burton-on-Trent. It is powered by a Briggs and Stratton 8 hp petrol engine. Alternative diesel or electric drives can be supplied.

Intended for direct mounting or as a demountable unit, the new Tamplin model is constructed on the company's modular system of standard panels giving length variations of lft 3M. The panels are made from Zintex rust-resistant sheet steel and various linings and insulation are available for special applications.
