• As from September courses will commence at the RTITB's second multi-occupational training and education centre at Livingston, near Edinburgh, as follows:— Craft and technician courses: Apprentices and instructors (one week); Alternator charging systems (one week); Diesel fuel injection (two weeks); AC/DC charging systems (two weeks); Basic welding for minor body repairs (two weeks): Vehicle trades apprentices (heavy vehicle mechanics) stage 2 (16 weeks): Vehicle roadworthiness inspectors (one week).
Sales, service reception and parts courses. Parts merchandizing (one week); Vehicle salesmen (one week); Stock control (three days); General salesmanship (three days).
Hgv and psv courses: Hgv driving instructors (three weeks); Hgv driving assessors (two weeks); Psv driving instructors (two weeks); Psv conductor instructor (one week).
Management. Supervisory and Clericat courses: Transport managers (one week); Foremen and supervisors in road haulage (one week); Office supervisors (one week); Retail motor trade managers (one week); Costing for road haulage managers (one week); Management job descriptions (two days); Costing and accounts for retail motor trade managers (three days).
