Entirely frameless, the new 1,591-cu-ft. vans are built in FIME's special Monocore. which consists of an expanded PVC insulating material sandwiched between inner and outer aluminium panels; the inherent strength obviates the need for supporting framework and has proved very satisfactory during three years service testing by various operators. BME says that insulation tests show over 90 per cent efficiency. with

One of the new semi-trailer vans is seen in the accompanying picture; a York R 13 refrigeration unit is accommodated in the Luton head, and the van is mounted on Roden running gear. Unladen weight of the trailer is 5 tons 16 cwt. 2 qr. The tractive unit is an AEC Mandator.

The Adams company has offices and transport depots at London, Cardiff and Thorne. near Doncaster, and a new centralized transport depot covering more than 2; acres is nearing completion.
