The Vehicle Inspectorate reports that 28 vehicles have been impounded since the impounding of vehicles without 0-licences was introduced at the beginning of January. The latest truck to be seized was an lveco two-axle tipper belonging to a company trading as Regency Drives and Paths from Solihull, West Midlands.

According to the VI the tipper had no Operator's Licence, was taxed as a private vehicle, and had never had an annual test. There were no ministry or manufacturer's plates and no driver records. The firm has 21 days to appeal.
