Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

they open the Channel Tunnel, I hope the customs' men will have got their act together. Otherwise, I won't be bothering to use it.

What is the point? [can cross the Channel by ferry in a couple of hours, often less, if you're only counting sailing and loading and unloading times. Then I sit and wait for 10 or 12 hours at the quayside trying to get through customs. There is never any good reason for the delays you get in Britain, either.

I will not be saving time on the tunnel, if I've still got to wait for 10 hours every time I come back into the country. I might as well have a good meal and a kip on the boat.

Another thing, why is the Scottish transport industry being told the tunnel will really help business up here? The Government ought to build a decent motorway or two all the way into central Scotland first, before they worry about digging under the sea to France.
