A total of 1,140 new buses and eight trolleybuses were added to Hungary's public road and city transportation fleets during 1985. The Herceghalom/Biatrobagy section of the M-1 (motorway) was put into service. Road transport goods figures
were close to the previous year's achievement in a market carrying 4.6% more goods; the railway freight rose slightly and pipeline transport considerably.
