• Hemel Hempsteadbased DRG Envelopes has just taken delivery of eight custom-built curtain-sided semi-trailers on a five-year full maintenance contract with Rentco's Leighton Buzzard branch_ The new livery, used on the curtains and rear doors, highlights DRG group stationery products such as Basildon Bond and Sellotape.
• Danzas UK is to handle the shipment of 62 complete trailer loads of cable car equipment from Grenoble in France to the Alton Towers Leisure Park for use in a new £6 million 'skyride' tourist attraction.
• BRS Southern has undertaken a contract fleet takeover for window and double glazing firm Crittall Warmlife's transport operation. The package includes drivers, vehicles, maintenance and administration an a five-year-contract.
• Parceline has just ordered 80 York 'Ensign' GRP-panelled semi-trailer vans worth over £1 million. Together with 20 new Mercedes 1625 tractor units they will service a new multi-million pound computer-operated hub centre at West Bromwich in the West Midlands.
• HaIcon Transport has added three new 38 tonne Iveco Ford 6X2 tractor units to its fleet of vehicles based at Canvey Island, Essex. The units will be used mainly on container work, operating from the port of Felixstowe.
