A TOTAL of 98 passengers can be carried on a new airport coach delivered to British Airways at Gatwick Airport last Thursday.

The Willowbrook body has perimeter seating for 46 passengers, with room for 52 more in the central area. Three longitudinal hand poles, fitted with hanging straps are provided for the use of standees.

The chassis is a standard 12m Leyland Leopard.

Suppliers Arlington Motors have two more similar vehicles in the delivery pipeline. None Of these are liceneed for road use, although Arlington PSV director Roger Phillips told C.4/ he thought similar vehicles could he certified in the future.
