Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• CM's technical editor Bill Brock took the wheel for the first leg of the Econocruise Economy Drive this week.

A team of drivers set out from the Post House Hotel, Heathrow Airport, at 10.30 on Monday morning to drive around Britain for the next 1021/2 hours, stopping to take on fuel and change drivers.

The test vehicle, supplied by Seddon Atkinson, is a 6x2 301 tractive unit, powered by a Cummins LTA10 engine rated at 216kW (290hp), coupled to a Crane Freuhauf tandem axle trailer.

The engine is equipped with Econocruise's electric motor actuated (EMA) top-speed limiter.

FTA officials will scrutinise the vehicle and the sealed tachograph at the start and the finish of the drive.

Entrants have to estimate the fuel consumption achieved and the distance covered by the vehicle on its round-Britain First prize is a Christmas flight for two aboard Concorde to Lapland on December 21.
