The Ton-Tel single-axle hbridge, developed Malty by Griffith Elder of Bury St Edmunds for farm use, is being offered on onroad vehicles too.
It uses shear beam load cells at each corner of the weigher which is installed in a shallow pit.
A micro-processor control box with automatic zero tracking can cope with different axle configurations while a tallyrole printer provides a hard copy of individual axle and total vehicle weights.
It costs £3,000 with delivery included and is designed to cope with axles up to 13 tonnes.
