DAF SPECIAL products Division has won a contract to repair and overhaul the landing gear for over 500 United States Air Force fighter planes stationed in Europe.
The Daf workforce at Eindhoven has been involved in similar work for the USAF since 1977, and will use the existing workforce and facilities for this new contract (worth several million guilders).
This, and current orders plus an expected one for a further 200 landing gear sets, will guarantee work at Eindhoven until the end of 1990.
