MOUNTAIN RANGE ambulances of Crewe has won a contract to supply 81 Bedfordbased ambulances fitted with its SRT-1 bodywork to the South West Thames Regional Heall:h Authority.

The £500,000 order consists of 53 Sitting Case and 26 Front Line Ambulances on 3,200mm (126in) and 3,733mm (147in) wheelbase CF350 chassis cowls for the London Ambulance Service, and two Front Line vehicles also on 3200mm (126in) wheelbase CF350 chassis for the Surrey Ambulance Service. All the vehicles are fitted with petrol engines.

The contract represents a major boost for Mountain Range, which launched its SRT-1 less than five months ago. Mountain Range also plans to introduce an SRT-1 bodied Freight Rover wide-bodied Sherpa ambulance later in the year.
