Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

to remain secure following Tibbett & Britten's takeover of Hampshire-based intermodal operator Haulmark Europe.

Tibbett & Britten bought the firm from the French transport group La Fleche Cavaillonnaise: the deal means T&B acquires Haulmark's intermodal movement of freight between the Continent and the UK.

The news follows Tibbett & Britten UK Network Logistics' announcement that it is to invest £20m in the construction of an 18.580m2 rail-connected multi-user warehouse at the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal which is scheduled to open later this summer. All Haulmark staff are joining Tibbett & Britten, and the operation will continue under its original name.

A company spokesman says the deal will not mean any job losses within the T&B Croup. Before the takeover, Haulmark subcontracted work to four or five haufiers on a flexible basis. says Bill Waddington, T&B's director of ' rail and intermodal logistics. The haulage firms, which each operate about 15 vehicles, work out of rail terminuses across the UK, including the Mossend Railhead at Glasgow, and Dawentry International, T&B will continue to subcontract this work to the existing hauliers, says Waddington.
