Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A lorry driver who claimed he didn't know the difference between a house window and a computer program of the same name has been jailed for 18 months in Dublin.

Darren Kavanagh, 24, who pleaded guilty to taking part in three robberies of Windows '95 computer software packages from a warehouse, told the judge last week that he thought the stolen cargo was actually windows for houses.

The confused driver was paid £600 by a criminal gang who used him on three separate occasions to shift software worth £250,000 stolen from the premises of Meadow Freight in Co Meath.

Kavanagh drove the truck

with the stolen goods for the gang on the first two occasions without being apprehended; but was arrested by Irish police on the way back from delivering the goods to a buyer in Britain on the third occasion.

When questioned, Kavanagh admitted his part in the robberies but insisted the cargoes had been house windows.
