uhere are fans, and then there are FANS To say Formula One fan Phil Grinsell was pleased with the West McLaren Mercedes 1998 World Championship triumph could see you in court on a charge of gross understatement. So delighted was Phil that he had his new Atego 815 painted in the team colours
Phil is the managing director of West Bromwich-based Grinsell's skip hire Five of his 18 trucks are Mercedes 7.5tanners bought from Gerard Mann, Birmingham. Phil is also a Formula Ford racer in his spare time and harbours ambitions to ride in the McLaren Mercedes team's Iwo-seater Formula One car Meanwhile he is content to bask in the attention his Atego is receiving "It's a real head-turner," he says, "and my driver, Steven "Noggin" Nolan, tells me that people are constantly waving and flashing their lights at him."
