lirieves who stole two eight-wheel Foden tippers dumped the vehicles' loads of sand before driving off.The vehicles were stolen in the early hours of Saturday 16 January from the Litlington Transport company at MeIda Farm, Bury Lane, Melbourn, near Royston in Hertfordshire.

Both trucks have green cabs with illuminated headboards bearing the name Litlington Transport.

One vehicle has registration number D214CFL and has an aluminium body. Its chassis number is 215471. The second tipper has a green painted body. Its registration number is E662 PEG and its chassis number is 401107.The thieves cut through locked gates to get to the vehicles.

AMercedes 16-tonne skip loader liveried in Hales Waste Control's orange and black colours was stolen overnight on Christmas Eve from a locked depot in St Neots, Huntingdon, in Cambs. Thieves entered the site through the fence at the back and drove the truck off smashing through fencing at the front.

Its registration number is C467NNV, its engine number is 36695220014759 and its chassis number is 61711725184877. Transport Administrator Robert Sinden estimates it to be worth around 211,000. He says a reward could be in the offing if the vehicle is recovered and information leads to a conviction.

0,000 reward is being offered for the recovery of an F-reg Volvo F17 fitted with a 27m Viper crane, stolen from RCS Agricultural and Auto Spares' yard in Corby, Northants.

The theft between midday and 19:00hrs on Sunday 10 January has left RCS with two trucks which are unable to cope with the workload; managing director Ron Goode says he has already turned away 22,500-worth of work. And he reckons the unit, registration F345 DBD, will cost 295,000 to replace. It has a white and blue cab, liveried in RCS colours and a blue chassis. Its chassis number is KC888278.
