Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Carlyle has sold its PSV parts operation to Busparts, a member of the Frontsource group. Frontsource acquired London Buses' Bus Engineering Limited (BEL) two weeks ago and the Carlyle deal gives the present management full control of the company.

Michael Wailing, Carlyle's chairman, says: "This is an excellent deal for both parties. Busparts will continue to operate from the Carlyle Works site and the present staff will remain. We will continue to strengthen our vehicle marketing strategy to secure new opportunities and Carlyle Engineering Services' activities will be developed further."

Van Hool, the Belgian coach builder which uses the Carlyle Group for after-market sales, is not affected by the deal. According to Wailing; "This aspect of our business has grown steadily and we are continuing to develop it as sales of new vehicles increase."
