Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Hendrickson International Corporation has bought the US and Canadian trailer air suspension manufacturer Turner Suspension Incorporated.

The acquisition enables Hendrickson Norde, the European arm of Hendrickson International, to manufacture and market a new range of trailer suspensions alongside its existing model in the UK and Europe.

The trailing arm design, which provides a lightweight solution to the problem of axle location, will be produced at Sywell, Northamptonshire.

Durability seems to be confirmed by the three-year 322,000km warranty offered on bushes, trailing arms and axle location by the European com pany. A free choice of axle offers buying flexibility to trailer manufacturers.

Vehicle Systems Engineering, of Hackney Wick, London, which held a licence to market and fit the Turner mid-axle lift suspension system and uses Turner components in its own design of suspension, will continue as a fitting agent, working in association with Hendrickson Nord.

Hendrickson Nord intends to grab more of the market, and its Sywell plant is expected to be in full production by midsummer. The company claims to provide the widest range of suspension types of any commercial vehicle suspension manufacturer.
