Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Last week I came across a press release telling me all about a publication which dealt with foreign vehicle distributors, their share of the market, their capital investment, their return on capital. At £36.00, it must be something special, I thought.

Well it might be if you wanted to know the financial anatomy of foreign vehicle distributors up to the end of 1975, and you wouldn't need to be fussy about the quality of the presentation, it's very basic. Indeed it's so poor value for money, for transport men, I won't even say where or how you can get a copy.

Instead let me tell you about a book I do think is good value. The Economic Intelligence Unit report number 88.

This deals with the prospects for the British motor industry in 1977. The Unit estimates that imports will account for 41 per cent, that the Japanese advance has been halted, that Ford will be market leaders with 30 per cent and Leyland second with 25 per cent, and that cv production will rise by about 9.3 per cent in the year. Altogether an encouraging report worth the £3.00 it costs ($6.50 for overseas readers) and obtainable from the Subscriptions Department, The Economist Intelligence Unit, Spencer House, 27 St. James Place, London SW1A 1NT.
