Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANEW bulk grain carrier has been placed in service by Messrs. C. Young and Sons, Spring Gardens, Alresford, Hants. It is being used for the haulage of wheat and-barley grain, and is being operated on behalf of McDougalls, Ltd., Millwall Docks, London. E.14, running principally from their Andover branch.

The vehicle consists of a Leyland Comet ECO2/7R tractor with a Tasker semi-trailer from which the grain container is removable. Thus, the vehicle

can be used either as a specialized grain transporter, or as a platform lorry.

It has a rated payload of 10 tons, but in recent tests 111 tons of wheat were carried. It was loaded in 30 minutes by gravity. Discharge was completed in 20 minutes at a height of 6 ft. by a Star 5-in. discharge-conveyor.

J. H. Sparshatt and Sons, Ltd., London Road, Pnrtsmouth, completed and supplied the outfit.
