eylindered oil engines were 30.7 per cent., greater last year than in 1953, comparative figures being 60,048 and 45,926. Seventy per cent. of the output was exported, new markets being opened and trade resumed with certain lands--Argentin-a, for example--in which it had been closed.
Another 140.000 sq. ft. is being added to the factory of F. Perkins, Ltd.
£290,000 FOR DON BRIDGE THE mill bridge at Doncaster, which carries the Great North Road across the Don, is to be rebuilt at an estimated cost of _£290.000 as part of this year's road programme.
The Rossington bridge south et Doncaster is to be strengthened at a cost of about £44,000. Preparatory work for the reconstruction of the Aherford river bridge is in hand and actual work will start next year.
