Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• After giving up most of the remoulding side of its business, including closing down two more plants in Austria and Germany, Continental has reached an agreement for Bandag to produce a new range of ContiTread retreads on its behalf. To qualify for the "ContiTread certified" logo the tyres will be based exclusively on Continental casings, with Continental compounds and tread patterns. The process will be carried by Bandag on a local basis, making it possible for operators to have their own casings processed. HOP, HIP and HOC versions will be available for drive axle. trailer and construction applications respectively. The service should be available in the UK from September.
