It's not easy to compare the prices of four vehicles too closely when the vehicles themselves vary so widely.
The Umm Alter II pickup costs 21,351 less than the hardtop Land Rover Defender 90. Isuzu's Trooper, with a lower all-terrain capability but a higher level of trim and a very good heater, costs a further £435. Moving up a weight class to the Express gives greater volume and payload for an extra 23,025.
Do you need a no-compromise, go-anywhere load carrier? Or will most of your work be on tarmac, with the occasional sortie on to the rough? How high a value do you put on creature comforts and image?
