It is an old Volvo van fitted with giant wheels which enable it to cut a nifty rug up and down the *irds, or power its way through any terrain.
But readers who have been to previous Truckfests at the East of England showground near Peterborough may wonder how it is possible to demonstrate an amphibious vehicle at a venue without water. Well of course it isn't — the Truckfest folk hope to attract some attention by running it up and down the Thames a few times.
When it turns up at Truckfest on 5-6 May it will use those giant wheels for some spectacular car crushing_ I must make a note to keep the trusty Reliant Robin parked safely out of harm's way.
