Red Rose Transport, has won a Crown Court appeal against a conviction for failing to have a two-year tachograph check on a bus used on a scheduled service. The prosecution agreed that EC regulations allowed a bus to be used without a tachograph. The judge at Burnley Crown Court ordered that Heywood's costs be paid from public funds.
