Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A fifth-wheel which has twin-jaw coupling operated by a single straight-pull handle and automatic three-way locking is now available from Davies Magnet. The unit is failsafe when coupling to a semi-trailer kingpin, and it is impossible for the kingpin to be released without the release handle being operated.

The TJ3 coupling incorporates a heavy-duty pressed steel top plate and is mounted on extra-wide trunnion bearings with rubber bushes which reduce transverse strains and chassis fatigue.

The unit is also fitted with trunnion brackets, each drilled with eight holes and spaced so that most UK manufactured couplings and all Continental couplings with DIN brackets can be replaced with a T.13 without the need to re-drill the vehicle mounting frame.

The coupling weighs 136kg (301 lb) and is designed to accept an imposed load of 19,958kg (44,0001b) with a maximum trailer weight of 19,958 kg (90,000 lb).

Made by: Davies Magnet Works Ltd, Thundridge, near Ware, Herts.
