BRITAIN's motor industry will be represented by 20 leading companies at the 1975 Society of Automobile Engineers (SAE) Congress and Exposition which opens in Detroit on February 24. Among those companies attending will be GKN, Lucas, Girling and Guyson International Ltd.
The SAE Exposition is the world's only annual original equipment and engineering design show for the automotive industry. The British exhibitors will be the largest overseas contingent.
The USA, which is Britain's largest export market for 'automotive products, accounted for 12.1 per cent (nearly £2 million worth) of our total exports.
