fleet of Collins' Express Parcel Service Ltd. was so great that the firm had been unable to carry out normal preventive maintenance for some time. This was stated at Birmingham on Tuesday when the company was granted eight additional A-licensed vehicles by the West Midland Licensing Authority. Objections were withdrawn when Collins agreed to reduce the number of vehicles sought from 11 to eight.

Mr. J. Foley Fgginton, for Collins, said that business and turnover had increased considerably. There had been a large number of complaints from customers recently about his clients' service. The maintenance margin had been lost and must be replaced.
