REPRESENTAT1VES of Bolton Trades Council and the Bolton branch of the Transport and General Workers' Union joined up last week in the dispute over the transfer of the British Road Services' Kay Street depot from Bolton to Kearsley. Local Members of Parliament will be brought into the talks with the town's industrial development subcommittee.

INCREASE FOR NIGHT WORKERS

AN increase in pay for night-shift workers has been announced followtog discussions between the United Kingdom Joint Wages Board of Employers for the Vehicle Industry and the National Union of Vehicle Builders, Amalgamated Society of Woodcutting Machinists and the Electrical Trades Union.

The rate has been increased from timeand-a-sixth to time-and-a-quarter and came into operation on Monday.

Charles Aubrey, a general dealer, Barker Street, Oldham, was fined £5 for leaving a lorry on spare land for two or three months.
