on Shell UK Oil's tanker garage, in four weeks, with no disruption to normal working. The existing asbestos covering had started to leak around the rooffights.
The new covering is plastic coated profiled metal sheeting, which is attached to the structural steelwork with spacers fixed through the asbestos sheeting. Clear plastic Filon sheets are arranged in a staggered pattern to match the roof light layout.
Between the two layers there is a layer of insulating quilt, which achieves a U value of 0.6, and conforms with the Shell UK Oil environmental health and safety standards. RCL Turbo 94
