• The Remote Control Systems (RCS) Division of Ringspann (UK) is now producing the more popular types of Cablecraft push-pull cables in the UK.
These must not be confused with normal car throttle cables, says the company, since they offer precision control with push capability up to 80% of pull load depending on the type, size and travel (stroke) of the unit.
RCS also offers Quadco controls for use with or without these cables. Special controls can be built up such as a gated gear-change control for a BorgWarner transmission used in forldifts to eliminate gear damage. The finn says its cables and controls are used so far in buses and municipal vehicles like sweepers and off-road vehicles.
