Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Volvo's most powerful eight-wheeler, the 10-litre FL10, makes its UK show debut at this week's TipCon show at Harrogate. The FL10 uses the latest six-cylinder TD102F charge-cooled engine, at 234kW (318hp) with a peak torque of 1,300Nm (9571bft) at 1,200rpm.

The TD102F replaces the old TD101F engine rated at 215kW (292hp), and is now fitted to both the FL10 and F10 range of artics and rigids. As well as its more powerful engine, the latest FLIO also features Volvo's new R1400 ninespeed range-change gearbox.

One unusual aspect of the TD102F engine is its articulated pistons with steel crowns and aluminium skirts — the only connection between the two halves is the gudgeon pin. This passes through the skirt in a conventional manner and through a housing formed in a central strut which descends from the centre of the crown. 0 Volvo Trucks (Great Britain) may import an 11-tonne GVW version of its FL6 middleweight chassis into the UK next year. The FL6 UK range currently stops at the 12-tonne FL612 model, but an 11tonner, powered by the 112kW (150hp) TD61G engine could be bought into Britain.

Volvo is currently producing an FL611 artic unit for Bass, with the TD61GS engine and an Eaton gearbox, but it says that it has no immediate plans to use an Eaton box on any of its existing products.
