• The first meeting was held on April 13 of the regional committee set up in the Midlands as part of a pilot scheme by the RHA for a regional tipping service which it is ultimately hoped to extend to five other regions. thus covering the whole country.

Each of the 10 counties in the region sent two representatives to form the committee. Mr B. J. Foster (B. J. Foster and Wilson Ltd, Kidderminster) was elected chairman and Mr P. J. McDonald (P. J.
