• Powell Duffryn Engineering Ltd buying family-owned Sheppard Equipmei Ltd, waste disposal equipment maker, Thetford, Norfolk. The sale will I completed on June 30 for a price in tl region of £400,000 cash.
As a result of the agreement, POW4 Duffryn Engineering will acquire the who of Sheppard Equipment and its factories.
Sheppard began making waste dispos equipment in 1961 and among its produc is the Sheppard Meiller container handli unit.
Mr Fred Stokes, managing director PDE, will become chairman of Sheppa Equipment. Mr David MacKrill will rema managing director of Sheppard a: becomes a director of PDE. Mr Jo: Sheppard relinquishes the chairmanship Sheppard Equipment but will rem associated with the combined companies a consultant. Other Sheppard directors maintain their present responsibilities.
