Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CUMMINS HEAVY Duty X engines for the US market will feature EGR technology.

The company will offer 11.9, 15 and 16-litre models based on the HP1 HPCR fuel system, with cooled EGR, electronic controls, and the Cummins Particulate Filter to meet the EPA-10 emissions standard.

The XPI system is a joint development with Scania. It is not clear if Cummins will offer the engines in Europe under its own banner.

Availability of a non SCR-based solution is likely to be seen as a key advantage in the US, With MAN and Scania planning a similar design in Europe for Euro-5, Cummins might also attract sales interest this side of the Atlantic.
