Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The European Ferries Group has made three senior appointments within Townsend Thoresen shipping at Dover, Portsmouth and Felixstowe.

David Donhue becomes deputy managing director at Dover, in succession to John Parsons, who has left the group. A chartered accountant and one time group financial controller, Donhue has been managing director of the company's Portsmouth-based operation for the past ten years.

Succeeding Donhue at Portsmouth is Leslie Stephenson who has been chief superintendent of Townsend Thoresen at Felixstowe since 1976.

Meanwhile, Sid Livingstone — who joined the company in Larne in 1948 and is regarded as a pioneer of roro on the Irish Sea — moves up from being operations director to Townsend Thoresen managing director at Felixstowe, replacing Geoffrey Parker who is now the Group's executive chairman.
