Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

111 Complete semi-trailers are now being produced by Southfields Coachworks of Loughborough. The first to be built include some short (9.1m) step-framed semi-trailers developed jointly with Rank Hovis for urban delivery work.

Southfields will concentrate on building specials, rather than trying to compete with the volume trailer producers, while at the same time continuing to body any other makes.

Using a mainly steel structure Southfields will be able to offer axles and suspension to customer choice.

"By developing the trailer as a package," said joint man iging director Giles Ma[pas, 'we can be as competitive as any trailer manufacturer."

The move has been strengthened by the appoint ment of Les Rourke as its production director. He has had experience of trailer manufacture with Scammell, York and Cartrights.
