Mr. H. Booker has been appointed director and general manager of Cravens Homalloy Ltd.

The following appointments are announced by Bowmaker Ltd., of Bournemouth: Mr. H. J. Loughran, manager of Watford branch; Mr. P. H. M. Cooper, assistant credit controller, Eastern region; Mr. G. D. Smith. manager of Brentford branch; Mr. D. Mitchell, acting manager of Grantham branch; Mr. T. E. M. Hawker, manager of Portsmouth branch, and Mr. J. Bishop manager of Stockport branch.

Mr. J. L. Dickinson, secretary of the Skefko Ball Bearing Co. Ltd., and a director since 1960, has been appointed sales director; his place as secretary has been taken by Mr. A. J. Philpott. Mr. J. E. Owston, Mr. E. T. White and Mr. H. Booker have been elected to the board of East Lancashire CoachbuiIders Ltd., of Blackburn, and two East Lancashire directors, Mr. A. M. Akock and G. Damon, have joined them on the board of Neepsend Coachworks Ltd., of Sheffield. Both companies are members of the John Brown Engineering Group. Mr. Owston becomes chairman of East Lancashire, with Mr. Alcock as vicechairman and Mr. Danson is director and general manager of both companies.

Mr. K. P. Shean has been appointed London area sales manager for Hubert H. P. Trist and Co. Ltd., manufacturers of Top-Dog brake and clutch linings, with effect from October 1. For the past two years Mr. Shean has been technical sales representative for Avdel Ltd. He succeeds Mr. Percy E. Wright who is retiring.

Mr. A. E. Shave, London Transport supplies officer, has been appointed chief supplies officer in succession to Mr. E. C. Ottaway, who has become a member of the London Transport Board. Mr. John F. Moon, Technical Editor of The Commercial Molar, has been awarded an Institute Diploma and the Presidential Prize for the 1962/63 season by the Institute of Road Transport Engineers for his paper relating to the British commercial industry and the European Common Market. Mr. Moon also obtained these two awards four years ago, for a paper dealing with American road transport.

Mr. Thomas Paterson, technical manager of Simms Motor Units Ltd., has been appointed a director., of the company.

Mr. H. J. Downs, traffic manager of the Lincolnshire Road Car Co. Ltd. is to retire on November 30 after 42 years' service with Tilling Group companies. His place will be taken by Mr. L. J. Quilter.

Mr. F. E. W. Hammond has joined the board of Simms Motor and Electronics Corporation Ltd.
