Aro. J. H. WHITAKER (Todmorden) will today be installed as president of the Municipal Passenger Transport Association in succession to MR. R. A. FEARNLEY (Coventry), MR. P. F. WARD has been appointed branch manager at Lincoln for the Mercantile Credit Co., Ltd. He replaces Ma. G. C. TRUSWEIL, who has taken an appointment with a subsidiary, the Mercantile Credit Company of Ireland, Ltd_ Mr. Ward was previously a representative at Birmingham.

MR, L. A. ROCHEFORT and MR. A. C. COOPER. chief executives of I.T.D., Ltd., are in the United States visiting units of Clark Equipment International C.A. This follows the acquisition of a third interest in I.T.D. by Clark's. I.T.D. manufacture Stacatruc fork trucks and Electricar platform trucks.

M. L J. W. BAILEY, for the past five years chief purchasing agent for the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., has been appointed general manager of the India Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., and a director as from October 1. He joined Dunlop 20 years ago. MR. D. W. HAWKINS, director and general managei of Dunlop Plantations, Ltd., succeeds him as chief purchasing agent. Mr. Hawkins, who will continue to hold his present post, has been with Dunlop for 30 years.
