Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WITH REGARD to Andy Bowd's £6.75 per hour offer (CM 6 October),sorry, you can't drive an antic on a Cl pay packet. It was published not long ago that the average wage for Class 1 is £8.22.

Re Guy Sheppard's -The Big Picture"( CM 13 October),1 agree with increasing road safety. especially involving trucks, but at what point do we turn to the real safety issue, ie training other road users about how to treat trucks?

Adding extra mirrors may increase our vision behind, but have we discussed the issue of blind spots created by mirrors? What is the point in adding more mirrors to see behind us if we cannot see what is coming towards us, or from the side (eg entering a main road from a side road)? I have experienced this with a Volvo FM12 and that was the mirror on the offside, so how can I see around these monstrous things on the nearside?

Also.! know a truck turning left should give way to a cyclist on the inside, but why are we not training cyclists to be aware of trucks, especially with regards to blind spots? Here is a notion for any aspiring MEP: train non-truck drivers about road safety, indication, correct mirror usage and stopping distances of an HGV.
