3 ast week the Hawk reported that a Sotheby's auction of Dinky Toys was expecting big bucks for a handful of rare models. And so it proved. A 1930s Pickfords van fetched £920 (£300 more than anticipated); a Palethorpes sausage delivery van scooped £440 and a set of four flatbed trucks went under the hammer for £600. Just goes to show that size isn't everything.
