AN UPDATED and wider rani of Hino lorries will be introduci to the United Kingdom and HI markets later this year.
In place of the 1967-design ltractive units and ZM rigii available in Britain since 191 and in Ireland since 1970, range of models with better a pointed, suspended cabs is b ing imported by J. Harris (A semblers), of Dublin, and H( Motor Vehicle Distributors, Warrington.
Top of the range, and ava able from September, will be tl SH-Series tractive unit, whil will come with a sleeper cab. It being offered with a mo powerful version of the straig six-cylinder engine in the HE, b it will also be available with naturally aspirated V8 diesel about 320bhp, which takes it in the Mercedes-Benz or Vol' bracket.
It will be fitted as standa with a nine-speed Hipp dirt top gearbox.
Three more models will be troduced before the end of t year, starting with the FH-Seri 16-tonner with a diesel c veloping around 220bhp, th the FS-Series 6x4 fitted with uprated version of the EK100 e gine in the ZM, and then the K Series 8x4.
