• The annual Association of Vehicle Recovery Operators exhibition returned to Warwick after last year's brief migration to Lancashire, bringing with it sunshine and a new crop of products.
Four-square car lifting equipment looks a particular growth market in anticipation of greater efforts from local authorities to remove illegally parked vehicles.
Multi-wheelers emerge as the heavy recovery operators safeguard against axle overloads and several new options were on show. The absence of some former manufacturers underlines the severity of the recession but this has encouraged importers.
There are new faces among them and new agents for established products such as the French Fiault range, now sold here by Ceejay Systems.
